Dear Kate,
I am very much sorry for responding you late.Actually I was bussy to my official assignments.I am also worried about heirloom seeds.Actually Exotic seeds are taking place of Oldnes and there is no any platform or a Genebank storage mechnisim in Pakistan.KGI may little help in it because there are very few Pakistani members registered.I think so There must be a massive seed collection campaign should help in it.
You can also guide me in this context.

I've been following your trip on your blog site. Amazing gardens and wonderful people. I grew up just north of Seattle, a very different climate from southern Idaho. I admire your energy.

Thanks Ian. If the world was full of people like you it would a nicer place!
John, thanks for your thoughts. I am a little tired of the forum and think I will retire to my blogs for a while to pass some time in peaceful surroundings!

Thanks for finally being persistent.
I read (skimmed)through your list. The big question remains how do we make it happen.
Thanks for the reply to my subversive plot and the link.
I hope I get some ideas.
As to opening my garden. I invite a lot of people but they don't want to seem to work......;)
seriously I am selling the excess of my tomato plants and suggest people come to pick them up, so I can give them an idea of what to do.
Hopefully it works.

Hi Kate,
I thought I'd mention that I am keeping our 2 bedroomed "gite" (holiday apartment) for the weekend of the global thing in 2009. You can have a bedroom in there. If you would like to know a little more about your accommodation or the area then please feel free to visit our website www.lesfontenelles.co.uk/ where all will be revealed.(Well a lot anyway!). We're putting in a small swimming pool this year and September should be still very lie in the sun and swim weather.
I'm intending to book the gite out for the whole week - Thursday to Wednesday around the do so you can stay here as long as you wish within that frame - or longer if you want - just ask!!!

Today it is about 17C, patches of sun and cloud, and wonderful after about 60mm rain over the last week. This afternoon I will be in the garden sowing more seeds and picking dinner. Life is good. Get there fast and then take it slow! A secret I haven't told anybody on KGI before, Penelope, I am going to have my 50th birthday in the snow if it is the last thing I do! I wish you could all come to Mt. Hotham in the state of Victoria, about 1 1/2 days' drive from my home. July 30th - hit the ski slopes with me, cook up a storm in the lodge kitchen and drink my home-made limoncello by the fire! The lodge only holds 22 people - we could book it out- if only ....

John, I love to add some thoughts now and again.
