You can dry the white ones very successfully. Boil black mulberry juice until it looks like syrup or a bit thicker.....very healthy and very delicous.

Thanks Glenn. I note that there are some self-fertile varieties but they all do better if given another pollinator. I guess this is what I must try, along with a stiff note to the seed supplier which sold me the tree. From what some New Zealand vi...

We have added another greenhouse (passive solar) and addingmore fruits. We have Blueberries, Strawberries, Thornless Evergreens (Blackberries without thorns), Apples, Plums, Pears. We are adding Kiwi, More Strawberries, Blueberries, PawPaw. We may plant Lingonberry, and Sea Berry. This year has been very successful with winter growing of salad greens. I harvested leaf lettuce on Christmas day. My raised bed cold frames are working excellent and I had just put them in around August 2007.

Oh I do love tropical fruit. I just had half a pawpaw out of my garden filled with passionfruit pulp. The cloying sweetness of the pawpaw is offset by the slightly acidic taste of the passionfruit. A match made in heaven :) There are so many mango...

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....

First type the text you want to appear....  ie  IAN'S PAGE

Then go back and highlight the link text.

Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
